Motorist Rescued Underneath Semi-trailer

The impact which a speeding car makes is so powerful and hard that the car could be crashed into pieces if an accident happens.

If the metal components of a car are damaged and reduced in size, what more could happen to a delicate human body?

Miraculously, a motorist only suffered moderate injuries when his car smashed into the back of a semi-trailer in Otay Mesa and got stuck underneath it.

The man was extricated from the wreck through the joint efforts of San Diego and Chula Vista fire-rescue crews. He was taken by helicopter to the hospital.

The accident happened at Sanyo Avenue near Airway Road. The authorities were still investigating the cause of the accident.

In California, car accidents statistics marked a significant improvement. Traffic fatalities decreased by 13.6 percent. The reduction is attributed to its seat belt laws and its efforts against DUI.

But the authorities can only do so much. The public has to contribute and fill the remaining part to dramatically reduce the still high percentage of car accidents.

For the innocent victims of reckless driving, a personal injury case may be pursued against the negligent driver. The assistance of a car accident lawyer is advised in filing a claim.
